We met in medical school...
We met on our first day at The Ohio State University and ended up in the same anatomy lab group. We spent hours together studying, going out with friends and surviving medical school. The friendship blossomed into something more; from best friends to falling in love. We became inseparable, traveled the world together, and never left each other's side. By the last year of medical school Stephen knew she was the one, and started to plan...

In a far off land...
Stephen picked a spot. A beautiful stream in the middle of South Korea's capital, Seoul. Stephen and Joan had traveled there twice before, and it was perfect. He enrolled the help of Joan's mom to help come up with a reason to be there and taking photos. Nervously he stopped her on the bridge, told her 사랑해 ("I love you" in Korean) and then got down on one knee.
